Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions exclusively govern the legal relationship between the user of the Website https://www.zurich.shopdutyfree.com(“you” or “your”) and Dufry AG (“we”, “us” or “our”).

Pre-Orders

Please read the Terms and Conditions carefully before placing a pre-order. With completion of the pre-order process the Terms and Conditions are regarded as having been accepted.

On https://www.zurich.shopdutyfree.com you can place non-binding pre-orders for duty free products, provided that you will be leaving on an international flight from Zurich Airport. Despite the pre-order you will not be obliged to collect and pay for the goods. A purchase agreement will only be concluded by way of payment and delivery of the ordered products at the cash point of duty free shop at the airport.

However, in case of an apparent misuse of pre-orders we reserve the right to exclude the user from the Website.

To place pre-orders you have to register with https://www.zurich.shopdutyfree.com/ as user. Once we receive your registration information we will send you an e-mail requesting you to activate the registration. Following the successful activation you may place pre-orders.

After placement of a pre-order you will be directed to the confirmation page. You will also receive a confirmation note by e-mail. The confirmation note will state the ordered products, their current prices and the nominated place of collection (pickup point). Please have the confirmation note with you when you collect the goods.

Please note that online-orders can be place latest 24h before your departure time and 30 days earliest before your flying date.

Prices

The prices and the total amount of the pre-order will be quoted in Swiss Francs. They are subject to change without notice. However, the sales price at the time of conclusion of the purchase agreement will be the relevant one, i.e. the price to be paid at the time of handing over the ordered goods. It therefore may be the case that a price (also promotion prices) as at the time of the pre-order will no longer be valid at the time of collection. On the other hand, you might profit from a promotion or price reduction with regard to the product you ordered that may have been introduced subsequent to your pre-order and is still valid at the time of collection of the goods.

Prices in other currencies quoted on: https://www.zurich.shopdutyfree.com/ are only recommended prices in the respective currencies.

Payment and Passing of Risk of Damage and Loss

All goods must be paid online for upon collection. No payment at the till is accepted when reserving online. You may pay with the following cards: Visa, Amex, MasterCard, Diners, JCB, Debit or EC.

The risk of damage and loss passes with the handing over of the products to you.

Until such time as we receive full payment by you ownership of the products remains vested in us.

Products

Please note that our range of products is subject to change.

We cannot be held liable if a pre-ordered product no longer is available at the time of collection. According to Cantonal legislation the sale of alcohol and tobacco to minors is subject to various restrictions. Alcohol or tobacco may not be sold to minors. Minors are not allowed to place any pre-orders for alcohol or tobacco. With the purchase of the products you are declaring that you are 18 years of age or above. The age will be checked on collection of the products.

Duty-Free Allowance

The import of duty-free goods is subject to certain allowances granted by the country of your destination. It is your own responsibility to comply with the pertaining import regulations. Please visit IATA website to check the quantity and products that you are allow to bring in the country of destination.

Security Regulations

Since November 2006, new regulations concerning liquids allowed on board of an aircraft have been in force. According to those provisions, liquor, perfumery and cosmetics may be pre-ordered without restriction if the final destination of an air passage lies within the European Union. With regard to flights to the USA such products may only be purchased directly at the departure gate; pre-orders are not possible. With regard to flights to other destinations, we will be pleased to give you up-to-date advice regarding this matter, on collection at the “Pre-order pick-up point”, particularly if a change of flights in a non-European Union country is scheduled as part of your journey.

Goods out of Stock

If a product, contrary to expectations, cannot be made available due to difficulties in supply or security requirements, you will be notified by e-mail or telephone.

Cancellation of Pre-Orders

You can cancel your pre-order at any time before your pick up.

Book an appointment service

If you are using the appointment booking services available on our Reserse&Collect websites, you may supply us with the preferred day and time for the appointment.

The products related to Book an appointment service are not included in Reserve and collect 20% off discount. They are following the price and promotion of offline stores.

Inspection and Warranty

The package of the products must be inspected upon receipt of the goods. Immediate notification must be made of any defects or deviations of the products. Subject to the provisions hereunder, the products cannot be returned or exchanged.

We only warrant that the products are free from defects of packaging and that the products comply with the details on the confirmation note. Any further warranties in relation to the products as such are excluded (e.g. quality defects). In respect of those warranties you have to contact the original supplier/manufacturer of the product directly.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Switzerland (excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods of 11 April 1980).

The exclusive place of jurisdiction is the municipality of Zurich. However, we reserve the right to institute an action with any other competent court of our own choice.
