The brothers Matasci are responsible for the winery in Tenero. With the help of the most modern technology and innovation in the cellar, the brothers have succeeded in pressing one of the most popular Ticino red wine. The grapes were harvest in selected vineyards in the Italian part of Switzerland. Merlot Terra Matta: The fermentation lasts a few days with controlled temperature. Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks. This Merlot presents a mature ruby red colour with a violet hue. A nice, delicate and fruity bouquet with integrated aromas of cassis and dark berries. Soft, round and fresh on the plate, with smooth tannins and a lengthy finish. An excellent pairing for rabbit ragout, quails filled with bacon, cheese, Pasta and Pizza. Showing the most fruit upon release, with the potential to improve over the next three years.
