The brothers Matasci are responsible for the winery in Tenero. With the help of the most modern technology and innovation in the cellar, the brothers have succeeded in pressing one of the most popular Ticino red wine. The grapes were harvest in selected vineyards in the Italian part of Switzerland. Merlot Selezione d'ottobre: The fermentation lasts a few days with controlled temperature. Maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks. This Merlot Selezione presents a mature red colour with a violet hue. A nice fruity and fresh bouquet with integrated aromas of plum, prunes, dark berries and nice flavours of chocolate and spices. Harmonious, round and well balance on the plate, with fine tannins, bright fruit tones and a lengthy finish. An excellent pairing for cheese tortellini, Pasta, Pizza, Risotto or herb-roasted chicken. Showing the most fruit upon release, with the potential to improve over the next four years.
